Lines have reopened following overrunning engineering works at London Kings Cross. As service recovers, trains running to / from this station may still be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 11:15.

Engineering works in the Harringay area earlier this morning were taking longer than planned.

The works have now been completed and the scheduled service is being recovered.

Network Rail are responsible for railway engineering works. These are designed to maintain and improve the infrastructure, and this can include the track itself, the signals or the points at junctions. Staff will also routinely attend to trees and vegetation by the track, station platforms, electrical supplies and many other parts of the railway.
