Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport / Reading. Services between these stations are now running at a reduced speed and may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 14:00.

Customers are strongly advised to seek alternative route for journeys between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / Reading.

Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on the following routes:

• Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading

• South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading

• London Underground between any reasonable route

• Chiltern Railways via any reasonable route

• Heathrow Express between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals (Pre-paid tickets only)

• London Buses between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / West Drayton

If you are travelling to central London, you can travel to Hammersmith or Ealing Broadway first, then continue by bus or Underground.

You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:

• Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Oxford

• CrossCountry between Reading and Oxford

• Elizabeth line between London Paddington and Reading

• London Underground services on the Central, Piccadilly and District lines

• South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside / Reading

Some services between London Paddington and Oxford, and between London Paddington and Cardiff Central, will not run, in either direction.

Local stopping services between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway / Newbury will only run between Reading and Didcot Parkway / Newbury.

Most longer distance Intercity services will continue to run between London Paddington and Reading, but may be subject to delay.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
