Overrunning engineering works between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / Reading mean that some Westbound lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

  • London Underground services via any reasonable route

  • Great Western Railway services between London Paddington and Reading

  • South Western Railway services between London Waterloo and Reading

  • London Buses between Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / West Drayton/ Reading

Great Western Railway customer advice:

Some services between London Paddington and Oxford, and between London Paddington and Cardiff Central, will not run, in either direction.

Local stopping services between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway/Newbury will only run between Reading and Didcot Parkway/Newbury.

Most longer distance Intercity services will continue to run between London Paddington and Reading, but may be subject to delay.

You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on the following services:

  • Chiltern Railways between Oxford and Marylebone

  • CrossCountry between Oxford and Reading

  • Elizabeth line between Central line towards Bakerloo line to allow passengers to travel to / from London Marylebone

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
