Description
Lines have reopened following a fault on a train between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent. Trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 15:45.

Northern customer advice:
Train services are now able to call at all stations between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent in both directions. However, services are subject to short notice delays and cancellations due to this earlier issue.
The first service able to call at all stations from Stockport will be the 13:55 Stockport to Stoke-on-Trent service.
The first service able to call at all stations from Stoke-on-Trent will be the 14:55 Stoke on Trent to Stockport service.
What should I do?
Passengers are advised that they can travel on the following train operators and routes at no extra cost:
East Midlands Railway services between Crewe and Stoke on Trent in both directions
Avanti West Coast services between Stockport and Crewe in both directions
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
