Description

The earlier trespasser between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent has now been removed from the railway, allowing all lines running between these stations to reopen.

Until service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, diverted or revised.

This is expected until 15:00.

Advice for Avanti West Coast customers:

You may use your ticket on CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly at no extra cost.

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
