Description

The Met Office have issued yellow weather warnings for heavy rainfall today, Saturday 13 December.

There are further yellow and amber warnings for heavy rainfall on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 December.

As a result, the following ScotRail routes are affected:

Glasgow Queen Street and Oban / Mallaig (until approximately 10:00 on Monday 15 December)

A speed restriction is in place because of heavy rain. Trains running between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban / Mallaig may be delayed by 20 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 10:00 Monday 15 December.

Standby buses are available at the following locations:

  • 1 bus at Glasgow Queen Street

  • 1 bus at Crianlarich

  • 1 bus at Fort William

Customers travelling to / from Helensburgh Upper and Garelochhead may use their ticket, at no extra cost for travel to / from Helensburgh Central.

Kilmarnock and Carlisle (tomorrow, Sunday 14 December)

Forecasted severe weather means all lines will be closed. Trains will be suspended between Kilmarnock and Dumfries. Trains will be cancelled or revised.

Rail replacement buses will run between Glasgow Central to Carlisle.

Customers with tickets dated Sunday 14 December who wish to postpone travel can do so and travel on services on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 December.
