Description

Train crew not being available is affecting some Northern services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Airport. As a result of this, fewer trains are able to run. Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled.

This is until approximately 21:00.

Customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost and in both directions on:

  • TransPennine Express services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester stations and between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.

  • East Midlands Railway services between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester stations

  • Alternative Northern services between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly

If the train you have a ticket for is cancelled, you can travel on any Northern, TransPennine Express or LNER service within 2 hours before or after your cancelled service was due to depart.

Replacement road transport is operating in place of some services as follows:

Departures from Liverpool Lime Street calling at all stations to Manchester Piccadilly via Newton-le-Willows are scheduled to run at 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30.

Departures from Manchester Piccadilly, calling all stations to Liverpool Lime Street via Newton-le-Willows are scheduled to run at 16:25, 18:25 and 20:25.

These will be operated by S-Line and Atlantic Travel.
