Description
Following a points failure between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly, all lines have now reopened. Whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 21:00.

Between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Airport
Between Windermere / Barrow-In-Furness and Manchester Airport
Between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe (via Manchester Airport)
Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe (via Stockport) are not affected.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road transport has been confirmed to run as follows:
At 19:45 from Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Heald Green, Gatley, East Didsbury, Burnage, Mauldeth Road and Manchester Piccadilly. Operated by Bestway.
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
