Description

A fault on a train between Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Train services are unable to run between Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate (in this direction only).

Northern services between Manchester Victoria and Bolton are not affected.

Northern services between Wigan North Western and Liverpool Lime Street are not affected.

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement Transport:

Road transport will be operated as follows:

  • 1 coach from Liverpool Lime Street calling at all stations to Warrington Central then set down only to Manchester Oxford Road at 23:45 (operated by Bestway)

  • 1 coach from Warrington Central calling at Manchester Piccadilly at 00:30 (operated by Solomon Travel)

  • 1 coach from Manchester Oxford Road calling at all stations to Warrington Central then set down only to Liverpool at 23:35 (operated by Solomon Travel)

  • 2 coaches from Manchester Oxford Road calling at all stations to Liverpool at 23:35 (operated by Bestway)

Journey times may be extended by up to 45 minutes whilst travelling by road transport
