Trains between Southport and Manchester Oxford Road / Stalybridge

Description

Following a points failure between Southport and Wigan Wallgate, all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:30.

Customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on Merseyrail services between Southport / Headbolt Lane and Liverpool.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
