CrossCountry between Plymouth and Newcastle / Edinburgh, and also between Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh

Northern between Blackpool North and York, between Halifax and Hull, and also between Leeds and York / Selby

TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle, between Manchester Victoria and Redcar Central, and also between Leeds and Hull

Description

Some lines have now reopened following emergency services dealing with an incident between Leeds and Selby / York. However, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or diverted.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

  • Northern between Sheffield, Leeds and York

  • TransPennine Express between Leeds and York

  • LNER between Doncaster and Leeds / Edinburgh


If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

TransPennine Express customer advice:

You can use your tickets at no extra cost on the following services:

  • TransPennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly and York

  • LNER services between York and Newcastle until the end of the day

  • CrossCountry services between York and Newcastle until the end of the day
