Description

Lines have now reopened following a trespass incident between Swinton (South Yorkshire) and Moorthorpe. Trains between Sheffield and Moorthorpe / Wakefield Westgate may be delayed by up to 45 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 23:00.

Northern customer advice:

Train services are now able to run normally between Swinton (South Yorkshire) and Moorthorpe (in both directions). However, whilst the service recovers, trains on the following routes may still be subject to delays and possible cancellations:

• Yorkshire Flyer services between Sheffield and Leeds

• Between Sheffield and Leeds via Moorthorpe
  

Northern services between Sheffield and Leeds via Barnsley are not affected.
