Description

A broken down train at Neath means the line towards Swansea is blocked. Trains are still able to run through Neath using the other available line, however this will reduce the number of trains that can run.

As a result, trains running between Bridgend and Swansea may be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected to continue until 13:30.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Transport for Wales train services between Cardiff Central and Carmarthen, in both directions. Their services are also affected by this incident so please check before you travel.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

Transport for Wales customer advice:

Transport for Wales have organised buses to remain on site at Swansea and Carmarthen to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at approximately 11:00 and are provided by Francis mini travel, Cymru Coaches, Gower mini travel, Davies Coaches, and Teulu Travel.

These arrangements are in place on services until 15:00.

In addition, Transport for Wales have organised buses to cover the following journeys:

• 10:45 Carmarthen to Milford Haven

• 11:53 Milford Haven to Carmarthen
