Lines reopened: disruption between Leeds and Bradford Interchange via New Pudsey expected until 13:00

Description

Lines have reopened following a points failure between Leeds and Bramley (West Yorkshire). Trains running between Leeds and Bradford Interchange via New Pudsey may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 13:00.

What's happened?

Services between Leeds and Bradford Interchange are currently being disrupted due to a points failure.

Network Rail staff are currently on site.

How does this affect my journey?

Train services are unable to run from Leeds to Bradford Interchange (in this direction only). However, services from Bradford Interchange towards Leeds may also be disrupted due to the displacement of trains.

Northern services between Leeds and Halifax via Dewsbury are not affected.

What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Customers travelling to intermediate stations between Leeds and Halifax in the Halifax bound direction may travel on alternative Northern services between Leeds and Halifax via Dewsbury. Once customers arrive at Halifax, alternative Northern services towards Leeds via Bradford Interchange will be available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road transport:

Road transport has been recruited with RSZ to run as follows:

• 12:50 Bradford Interchange to Sowerby Bridge. One 16 seater minibuses

• 12:55 Leeds to Sowerby Bridge. Two 16 seater minibuses

Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.

Journey times may be extended whilst travelling by road transport.
