Description
A fault with the signalling system in the Newark area means that some lines are closed. As a result, trains are unable to run between Lincoln and Newark Castle and will be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 15:30.

What has happened?
There is a fault with the signalling system affecting Newark Castle Flat Crossing.
Network Rail are on site investigating the problem. They are currently unable to run any services over the flat crossing and will continue to work hard on fixing the problem.
How does this affect your train?
Trains cannot run between Lincoln and Newark Castle.
Trains running from Newark Castle towards Nottingham are currently unaffected by this fault.
At present East Midlands Railway are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again.
How do you get where you need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost to travel via the following alternative routes:
If you are travelling from Lincoln and wanting Newark Castle you can travel on LNER or East Midlands Railway services from Lincoln to Newark Northgate, making your way the short distance to Newark Castle. Where you can then board services towards Nottingham
You can travel from Lincoln to Newark North Gate with LNER or East Midlands Railway. You can then travel from Newark Northgate to Grantham with LNER and then travel from Grantham to Nottingham on East Midlands Railway services
East Midlands Railway have arranged for a rail replacement bus to depart Newark Northgate at 12:45. This will call at Nottingham only.
They are currently trying to source a shuttle bus between Newark Northgate and Newark Castle.
East Midlands Railway are currently looking at alternative arrangements to keep you on the move. Please remember that this can take time and be assured that their team are working tirelessly to arrange this as quickly as possible for you.
