Description

All lines have now reopened following a tree blocking the railway between Newington and Sittingbourne. Trains running between Newington / Sheerness-on-Sea and Sittingbourne may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

A tree was reported blocking the line towards Newington from Sittingbourne.

The tree has now been removed by response staff, and the line has reopened.
