Description

A safety inspection of the track between Long Buckby and Northampton means that some lines are closed. As a result, trains running all routes between Rugby and Milton Keynes may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

London Northwestern Railway customer advice:

Rail replacement transport is operating between Birmingham International and Northampton.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following until 18:00:

  • Avanti West Coast services between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central

  • CrossCountry services to Birmingham New Street in both directions

  • National Express Coventry between Birmingham New Street and Coventry
