Description

There is a shortage of train crew across some Northern routes on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July. It is advised to check before you travel as trains will be cancelled or revised.

As a result, the following routes are affected:

Saturday 25 July

Rochdale - Manchester Victoria - Blackburn

Fewer trains will run between Rochdale, Manchester Victoria and Blackburn.

Saturday 26 July

Colne and Blackburn

Buses will replace trains between Colne and Blackburn throughout the day.

Replacement bus journeys will take longer than rail services, so please allow extra time when travelling.

Please check before you travel using online journey planners to make sure you have the latest information.

Check before you travel:

The National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner does not reflect these changes. Please check back later.

For helpful advice if you need to travel on a rail replacement service, including accessibility and bicycle information, please use our Rail Replacement Services page.

You can find the pick-up and drop-off location of rail replacement services by checking station signage or by searching for your station on our Find a Station page.

Please be advised that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
