Description

Network Rail are carrying out emergency repairs to the overhead electric wires at Nuneaton, closing all lines until approximately 08:00.

Services running via Nuneaton during this time will be cancelled or revised. Some services may be diverted which will see extended journey times of up to 20 minutes.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

London Northwestern Railway customer advice:

The following service alterations will take place:

  • 05:10 Crewe to Northampton service will terminate at Nuneaton

  • 05:20 Northampton to Crewe service is cancelled

  • 05:45 Crewe to Northampton service will terminate at Nuneaton

  • 06:10 Northampton to Crewe service will start from Nuneaton at the revised time of 06:57

  • 07:13 Crewe to Northampton service is cancelled

  • 07:20 Northampton to Crewe service will start from Nuneaton

Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Northampton and Nuneaton through the morning.

Additional information:

Network Rail are completing repairs to the overhead electric wires at Nuneaton following a fallen tree causing damage.

Please note that pre-planned major engineering work is taking place between Milton Keynes and Northampton / Rugby.
