Description

Heavy rain and a yellow weather warning has been forecast in Scotland.

Speed restrictions have been implemented at various points across Scotrail's network allow trains to travel safely through areas impacted by the poor weather.

As a result, trains will be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Friday 28 November.

Customer advice:

Routes currently affected by this disruption are as follows:

  • Glasgow Central and Oban / Mallaig

  • Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street / Elgin / Aberdeen / Lairg / Wick and Inverness

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

You are advised to travel on services between Glasgow Queen Street and Helensburgh Central for Helensburgh Upper.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
