Between Oxenholme Lake District and Lancaster

Description

A fault on a train between Oxenholme Lake District and Lancaster means that the line towards Lancaster is blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

TransPennine Express customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services:

  • Alternative TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport / Preston and Glasgow Central

  • Avanti West Coast services between Preston and Glasgow Central

  • Northern services:

    • Between Manchester Airport and Preston / Lancaster and Oxenholme Lake District

    • Between Liverpool Lime Street and Preston via Wigan North Western
