Description

A fault on a train between Peterborough and Grantham means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Works are currently being carried out to resolve the issue.

Hull Trains customer advice:

You should continue to travel as planned; however, your journey may be delayed.

Lumo customer advice:

Alterations are in place as follows:

  • Customers who have been delayed on the 11:20 Lumo departure from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh:

    • Can travel on the 17:00 Lumo departure from Peterborough towards Edinburgh

    • Can alternatively travel on a Lumo service tomorrow, Monday 29 December, using their original ticket for today

  • The 16:26 Lumo departure from Edinburgh to London Kings Cross is now cancelled. You can use your tickets at no extra cost on the following services:

    • The 17:00 LNER departure from Edinburgh to Newcastle and London Kings Cross

    • The 17:58 LNER departure from Newcastle and London Kings Cross

  • The 21:57 Lumo departure from London Kings Cross to Newcastle is now cancelled. You can use your tickets at no extra cost on the following services:

    • The 22:03 LNER departure from London Kings Cross to Newcastle

    • The 22:57 LNER departure from Stevenageto Leeds

    • From Leeds, please see station staff where onward road transport will be provided from Leeds to Newcastle
