Description

Following a trespass incident at Plumstead all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains between Charlton and Slade Green may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 13:00.

What's happened?

A trespass incident was reported in the Plumstead area. For safety reasons, power to all lines was switched off.

Police have attended and apprehended the trespasser and all parties involved are now clear of the line, and power to all lines has been restored.

How does this affect my journey?

Services via Woolwich will be delayed, altered or cancelled while we work to return to on-time running.

What should I do?

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:

• London Buses between Dartford and Lewisham via Woolwich

• DLR services between Woolwich, Lewisham and Greenwich

• Elizabeth line services between Abbey Wood and central London

You will need to use an alternative route to complete your journey and allow at least 30 minutes more time to arrive at your destination.

All lines have been reopened and the first trains to run as booked are the:

• 11:47 service from London Bridge to Rainham (Kent)

• 11:00 service from Rainham (Kent) towards Luton

Services running now may be delayed by at least 20 minutes.

Your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on:

• Alternative Thameslink services between Farringdon and Rainham

• Elizabeth line services between Farringdon and Abbey Wood

• London Buses between London Bridge and Dartford

Travelling via an alternative route will take longer than usual. It's recommended leaving at least 30 minutes more time to complete your journey.

How to complete your journey:

If you are travelling between London Bridge and a station between Dartford and Rainham, you can continue to use your planned route to travel.

For journeys to/from Woolwich Arsenal, you can use Elizabeth line services from Woolwich, which is about a 10 min distance from the station. You can also use Elizabeth line services to travel to/from Abbey Wood. These services allow you to connect to alternative Thameslink trains at Farringdon.

For other journeys, please use London buses to connect to London Bridge or Dartford, from where alternative train services continue to run.

Can you tell me more about the incident?

Staff were working with Network Rail and the emergency services to assist a person on the railway earlier this morning. Trains were stopped outside this area or diverted until it was safe to resume running on all lines.
