Description

The Met Office have issued amber and yellow weather warnings across some parts of northern Scotland until Friday 23 January.

Trains running on some affected routes will be delayed by up to 30 minutes or be revised to start / terminate from a different station. Please check before you travel.

ScotRail have put emergency speed restrictions in place on some routes for the safety of passengers. These speed restrictions will result in extended journey times.

The routes affected are:

  • Between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban / Mallaig (from 12:00 today until 12:00 on Friday 23 January)

  • Between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh / Inverness (until 09:30 on Saturday 24 January)

  • Between Stranraer and Ayr / Kilmarnock (until 09:00 on Friday 23 January)

  • Between Aberdeen / Edinburgh and Inverness (until 12:00 on Friday 23 January)

To help complete your journey customers may use their ticket to travel via any reasonable route.
