Description

The Met Office have issued yellow and amber weather warnings for heavy rainfall on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 December.

The warnings cover areas of north west England, including Cumbria, with flooding possible on some routes.

TransPennine Express services north of Preston may be disrupted. TransPennine Express destinations north of Preston include Lancaster, Oxenholme Lake District, Penrith North Lakes, Carlisle, Lockerbie, Carstairs, Motherwell, Haymarket, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh.

Delays and alterations are likely. You are strongly advised to check before you travel.

If you require any connecting services, please check information screens or speak to a member of staff.

If you have a ticket dated 14 or 15 December, you can use it at no extra cost to travel on 16 December, on any TransPennine Express service, via the same route.
