Description
A safety inspection of the track between Hammerton and Poppleton means fewer trains are able to run. Trains running between Leeds and York may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice
Network Rail engineers have attended and have re-opened the line at a reduced speed and with a reduced amount of trains.
The line between Leeds and York via Micklefield is unaffected by this issue, passengers can change at Leeds for stations to and from Harrogate.
Effect on service:
Services will now operate on an hourly basis in both directions until further notice. Where possible, an additional half hourly service will also operate between Leeds and Harrogate in both directions.
