Description
The emergency services are dealing with an incident between between Prestatyn and Chester. So that they can safely carry out their work, lines between these stations have been closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised as a result.
This is expected until 16:30.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
Rail replacement coaches have been confirmed to run between Chester and Holyhead. These are expected to be in operation from approximately 12:20.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train's delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

If you are looking to travel onward from Chester, your ticket can be used on alternative Transport for Wales services, along with the below (at no extra cost):
Northern between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly (until 15:00)
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Transport for Wales have limited road transport running between Chester and Llandudno Junction provided by Pat's Coaches and Llew Jones to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost. These arrangements are in place until 15:00 today.
Road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
