Description

There are trespassers on the railway at Preston meaning trains are running at a reduced speed.

Services are also disrupted following a fault on a train between Blackpool North and Preston earlier today.

As a result, services running through Preston may be cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

If you no longer wish to travel because your train's delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

  • Avanti West Coast services between Oxenholme and Crewe

  • Merseyrail services between Ormskirk and Liverpool Central

  • TransPennine Express services between Oxenholme and Preston, and between Preston and Manchester Airport


You can also use the following Bee Network services between Manchester stations and Manchester Airport on the following routes at no extra cost:

11, 25, 41, 42, 42A , 42B, 42C, 43, 50, 51, 103, 142, 143 192, 368, 378, 370, 371
