Between Middlesbrough and Saltburn

Description

A burst water main flooding the railway between between Middlesbrough and Redcar Central means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Middlesbrough and Saltburn may be delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Services between Bishop Auckland / Darlington and Saltburn will be affected by this disruption.

What should I do?

Road transport is in the process of being put in place until the end of the day.

Local buses are also available in the area.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
