Description

A shortage of train drivers means that CrossCountry services running between Nottingham / Birmingham New Street and Cardiff Central may be cancelled or revised today.

This is expected until the end of service.

Customer advice:

To assist you with your journey, you may use your ticket on board the following services at no extra cost:

  • East Midlands Railway services between Nottingham and Derby

  • Great Western Railway services between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and the two CrossCountry services after your original service. Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them

  • Transport for Wales between Cheltenham Spa and Cardiff Central

Rail replacement transport:

Rail replacement transport will operate as follows:

  • 19:04 from Wilnecote to Tamworth (operated by JKT International)

  • 21:35 from Newport (South Wales) to Birmingham New Street (operated by JKT International)

  • 23:00 Tamworth to Birmingham New Street (operated by JKT International)

If you are travelling on the 21:18 Nottingham to Birmingham New Street service you may use your ticket on board the following services at no extra cost:

  • 21:22 East Midlands Railway service from Nottingham towards Matlock, as far as Derby

  • 22:31 CrossCountry service from Derby to Birmingham New Street
