Description

A safety inspection of the track means trains have to run at a reduced speed on all lines. As a result, trains will be cancelled or delayed.

Disruption is expected until 13:45.

Customer advice:

Train services have to run at reduced speed between Rochdale and Todmorden (in this direction only).

Services on the following routes may be affected by this disruption:

  • Between Headbolt Lane and Blackburn

  • Between Chester and Leeds

  • Between Wigan Wallgate and Leeds

  • Between Manchester Victoria and Leeds

The following Northern services are not affected (in both directions):

  • Between Clitheroe/Blackburn and Rochdale.

  • Between Blackpool North and York

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

You can also travel on TransPennine Express services at no extra cost between Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
