Description

Following a points failure in the Romiley area means all lines have reopened. However, as service recovers trains running between Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly via New Mills Central may still be cancelled, delayed or diverted.

Disruption is expected until 21:00.

Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly services

Passengers for stations from New Mills Central towards Manchester Piccadilly, are advised to change trains at Manchester Piccadilly for a returning service towards New Mills Central.

Northern tickets may be used at no additional costs on board any alternative Northern, TransPennine Express or LNER service via any reasonable route to complete your journey.

Rail replacement transport has been arranged to run as follows:

  • 1 bus to depart New Mills Central at 20:15 calling at Chinley only, operated S-Line

  • 1 bus to depart Chinley at 20:15 calling at New Mills Central only, operated S-Line
