Description

Lines have reopened following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Rose Grove and Colne. Trains may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

We expect this to continue until 14:00.

Customer advice:

Train services are now able to call at all stations between Blackburn and Colne. However, services are subject to short notice delays and cancellations due to the earlier issue.

Rail replacement transport will operate as follows:

  • 12:25 Colne to Blackburn calling at Nelson, Brierfield, Burnley Central, Burnley Barracks, Rose Grove, Hapton, Huncoat, Accrington, Church and Oswaldtwistle, Rishton and Blackburn

  • 12:30 Preston calling at all stations to Blackburn then as required to Colne

  • 12:45 Blackburn to Preston calling at Mill Hill (Lancashire), Cherry Tree, Pleasington, Bamber Bridge, Lostock Hall and Preston

  • 12:50 Blackburn to Colne calling at Rishton, Church and Oswaldtwistle, Accrington, Huncoat, Hapton, Rose Grove, Burnley Barracks, Burnley Central, Brierfield, Nelson and Colne

Journey times will be extended by 60 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
