A trespass incident in the Rugeley Trent Valley area means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running is this area may be delayed, cancelled, revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Some services may be diverted via Birmingham International. Where this happens Nuneaton, Tamworth and Lichfield Trent Valley will not be served.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services in both directions until further notice:

  • CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton / Tamworth

  • Northern services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly and between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent

  • LNER services between London Kings Cross and Leeds

  • London Northwestern Railway services between Crewe and Birmingham New Street

  • TransPennine Trains services between Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds

  • Transport for Wales services between Chester / Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe

  • West Midlands Railway services between Coventry and Nuneaton

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
