Description

Following a fault with the signalling system at Salford Crescent all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains running between Salford Crescent and Bolton / Walkden may still be delayed or revised.

Disruption expected until 17:30.

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

You can also use your tickets at no extra cost on board the following Bee Network services:

  • Bee Network Bus services V1, V2, 608, 609, 35, 132, 601, 602, 640, 641, 635, 632, 36, 37, 38, 607

TransPennine Express customer advice:

You can use your tickets at no extra cost on the following services in both directions until 19:00:

  • Avanti West Coast services between Preston and Edinburgh / Glasgow Central

  • Northern services between Preston and Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Airport
