Description
A fault with the signalling system in the Saltcoats area means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run between Kilwinning and Ardrossan Harbour / Largs and will be cancelled.
Disruption is expected until 20:30.
Customer advice:
Trains will terminate and start back from Kilwinning station.
Customers with valid tickets can travel on alternative Scotrail services via any reasonable route.
If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Kilwinning and Ardrossan Harbour / Largs. The following has been confirmed:
2 coaches departing Kilwinning, one at 17:30 (operated by SHM) and one at 18:00 (operated by Arays coaches)
1 coach at Largs at 18:00 (operated by Temporal Travel), 19:15 (operated by Photoflash coaches)
Your ticket will be valid on the following bus services at no extra cost:

• 11: Kilwinning - Irvine - Ardrossan
• 585: Greenock - Wemyss Bay - Largs - Fairlie - West Kilbride - Ardrossan - Saltcoats - IrvineMcGills:
• 576: Greenock - Wemyss Bay - Largs
• 906: Glasgow -Gourock - Greenock Wemyss Bay - Largs
Passengers travelling to / from Largs can travel on Wemyss Bay or Gourock services and Mcgills buses between Gourock / Wemyss Bay and Largs.
