Between Blackpool North and Liverpool Lime Street / Manchester Airport / Leeds, and also between Blackpool South and Preston

Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system in the Salwick area. Trains running between Blackpool North / South and Preston may still be revised or delayed by up to 25 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services and routes:

  • Blackpool Transport buses between Lytham and Blackpool South in both directions

  • Alternative Northern services between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport in both directions

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
