Description

A failure of the electricity supply and a tree blocking the rail between Wilmslow and Crewe means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, diverted or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

Northern customer advice:

Journey times will be extended by whilst travelling by road transport.
