Description
Storm Austen has been named by the Met Office. Amber and yellow weather warnings have been issued for Friday 23 October. Southeastern services will be disrupted today.
What's happened?
Train services are running, but there are currently several trees blocking different areas of the railway.
These areas include:
Teynham - now reopened - we are working to resume a normal service
Snodland - now reopened - we are working to resume a normal service
Minster - now reopened - we are working to resume a normal service
Meopham - now reopened - we are working to resume a normal service
Selling
We are working hard to remove all trees and reopen lines, as soon as possible.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains are unable to run on impacted routes and trains that are running are subject to overcrowding and delays.
What should I do?
Please check before you travel and allow extra time to complete your journey.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on all reasonable routes and on the London Underground between terminals.
How can I stay up to date?
You can follow Southeastern on Twitter (X) @SE_Railway or follow the Southeastern WhatsApp channel.
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail real-time Journey Planner.
Compensation:
You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
