Description

The Met Office are advising that heatwave conditions are forecast for parts of England and Wales with temperatures expected to remain high until at least Saturday 27 June.

The hot weather is set to be widespread over England and Wales, and highs of up to 38°C are possible in some areas. There are red and amber weather warnings in place for extreme heat covering parts of England and Wales until Thursday 25 June.

As the Southeastern network falls within the red zone, if you are travelling on Wednesday 24 or Thursday 25 June please only travel if absolutely necessary.

If you are travelling on Tuesday 23 June or Friday 26 June, please check before you travel.

Ticket information

You can apply for a refund if you decide not to travel on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June.

Alternatively you can use your ticket on Tuesday 23 or Friday 26 June at no extra cost.

In Southeastern's "Metro" area, "City Beam" trains have air conditioning. You can find out which services are scheduled to be this train type by checking online timetables. If you sign-up for journey alerts through the app or website, Southeastern can let you know if there's any changes.
