Description

A fault with the signalling system at Selby means that all lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running between Selby and Hull may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 16:15.

Additional Information:

Network Rail staff are now on site working to rectify the fault.

Hull Trains customer advice:

To help you complete your journey, rail replacement transport has been requested to run between:

  • Doncaster and Howden, calling at Selby.

You can also travel on TransPennine Express services between Sheffield and Doncaster in both directions at no extra cost.

Please see station information posters for the location of rail replacement pick up points and onward travel advice. Please be advised that journey times may be extended by 90 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.

Northern customer advice:

You can travel, at no extra cost, on the following services:

  • The next Northern service to your destination, where available

  • TransPennine Express between Leeds - Selby - Hull

Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport has been requested to operate from Leeds, York & Selby. More information will be provided when known.

TransPennine Express customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services:

  • Northern services between Doncaster and Hull in both directions

  • Northern & LNER services between Doncaster and Hull in both directions

  • Alternative TransPennine express services between Leeds and Hull in both directions

You should continue to travel as planned, however, your journey may be delayed by 45 minutes.
