Incident resolved: residual disruption between Selby and Hull expected until the end of the day

Description

Trains are returning to normal following a safety inspection of the track between Selby and Hull. Trains running between these stations may still be delayed by up to 15 minutes, revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Hull Trains customer advice:

Hull Trains services running from Doncaster towards Hull may be diverted via an alternative route.

Trains that are diverted will not be able to call at Selby and Howden.

Please see station staff for onward road transport to / from Selby and Howden.

If the station is unstaffed, a member of staff can be contacted via the station Help Points.

Train services are now able to run in both directions between Selby and Hull. However, services in the direction towards Hull may be delayed in the Selby area due to the speed restriction

Services on the following routes may be delayed by up to 15 minutes and may be cancelled:

• Between York and Bridlington

• Between Halifax and Hull

Northern services between Doncaster and Hull are not affected.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

• Northern services between Hull, Brough, Doncaster and Sheffield. Customers can then connect with the following services:

• Alternative TransPennine Express services between Liverpool Lime Street and Leeds

• East Midlands Railway services between Manchester Piccadilly / Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield

• LNER services between Doncaster and Leeds

• Northern services between Sheffield and Leeds

• TransPennine Express services between Manchester / Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield
