Description
Heavy rain flooding the railway between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin means trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines and may be cancelled or revised.
This is expected until 10:00.
Customer advice:
Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin. As a result, service on the Island Line has been suspended until the water level recedes to safe levels. Services will be subject to cancellations and revisions, so please check your journey before you travel.
To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, Southern Vectis bus routes 2 and 3 between Shanklin and Ryde Esplanade.
A minibus will be shuttling between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head from 05:00, though this won't run to a timetable.
Replacement bus services have been requested to run between Shanklin and Ryde Esplanade, but these have not yet been confirmed. We'll let you know once these are in place.
