Between Shanklin and Ryde St Johns Road / Ryde Pier Head

Description

The sea has flooded the railway between Shanklin and Ryde Pier Head. As a result, all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Due to flooding, trains are unable to run for safety reasons for the rest of the evening on the entire Island Line.

Alternative transport:

A shuttle bus service is being arranged to run between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head and we will confirm when they are in place.

Island Line are also arranging for your tickets to be used on local bus services between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin.
