Description

Lines have reopened following an operational incident in the Sheffield area. Trains running between Sheffield and Meadowhall may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until 17:00.

You may use your ticket on the following services, at no extra cost:

  • CrossCountry between Sheffield and Leeds

  • TransPennine Express between Sheffield and Doncaster



Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
