Description
A broken rail between York and Doncaster / Sheffield means the southbound line is blocked. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, revised or diverted.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
CrossCountry customer advice:
Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on Northern services between York and Doncaster.
A limited replacement bus service will run between York and Doncaster.
If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, then you can use your ticket on the two CrossCountry services operating before and the two CrossCountry services after your cancelled service
Unfortunately, seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
LNER customer advice:
LNER are advising customers to do not travel due to a number of disruptions today.
A limited replacement bus service will run between York and Doncaster. More buses are being sourced.
Due to the disruption between Leeds, Wakefield Westgate, York and Doncaster today, there will be rail replacement coaches in place. Please see station staff for assistance.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on alternative train services, up to 2 hours before or after the cancelled service or on either of the two LNER services before or after this train, whichever is most appropriate to help you to complete your journey. You do not need to buy a new ticket.
Customers who choose to defer their travel on Sunday 15 February can use their ticket with no extra cost on Monday 16 February.
