Description

Lines have reopened following a vehicle striking a bridge at Sittingbourne earlier today.

As services return to normal, trains at this station may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 20:00.

What's happened?

A road vehicle struck a railway bridge in the Sittingbourne area earlier today. The bridge required inspection by response staff before trains could run over it; this inspection has now been carried out and no damage found, so all lines have now reopened.
