Description

Blanket emergency speed restrictions are being imposed due to heavy rain on the following routes:

  • Between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh

  • Between Glasgow Central and Dumfries

  • Between Glasgow Central and Carlisle

These are expected to be in place until approximately 09:30 on Friday 14 November.

Trains running on the above routes may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner. Please take note of any Service Updates that may be showing with a warning triangle on your journey.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
