Description

A fault on a train in the Stafford area means that some lines are disrupted. As a result of this, trains running between Wolverhampton and Stafford may be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 22:45.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

• The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

• London Northwestern Railway services between Stafford and Birmingham New Street in both directions

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Rail replacement buses have been requested to run in place of the 21:33 and 22:34 departures between Liverpool Lime street and Birmingham New street.

Rail replacement buses will shuttle between Wolverhampton and Stafford stations in both directions.

• Avanti West Coast between Stafford and Crewe

• CrossCountry between Stafford and Birmingham New Street in both directions
