Description
Following damage to the overhead electric wires between Crewe and Stafford some lines have now reopened. However, this incident is still ongoing and as a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted via Stoke-on-Trent.
Disruption is expected until 17:00.

Trains may be diverted via Stoke-on-Trent.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:
East Midlands Railway services between Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe in both directions
Northern services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly in that direction only
Transport for Wales services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly in that direction only
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.
London Northwestern Railway customer advice:
Rail replacement transport will operate between Crewe and Stafford until 16:00 in both directions. Some buses will operate between Crewe and Stafford via Stoke-on-Trent. Please note, journey times will be extended when using rail replacement transport.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:
Avanti West Coast services between Crewe and Rugby, in both directions, until 15:00
CrossCounty services between Stafford and Wolverhampton, in both directions, until 16:00
